Empowering Jordan’s Energy Future: Algebra Intelligence’s Participation in AI Ecosystem Promotion Project

We’re delighted to announce our participation in a project for promoting the artificial intelligence ecosystem in Jordan, initiated by Japan Development Service Co., Ltd. (JDS) led by Yoichi Kogure and executed under a contract with the esteemed Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

As part of this initiative, we have been awarded to implement the “Proof of Concept (PoC) Program” focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence in the planning and operation system for electricity suppliers.

The objective of this project is to develop a prototype AI system capable of forecasting daily electrical demand and renewable energy. This system will revolutionize the controlling, planning, and dispatching of daily electrical loads for electricity suppliers, particularly at the National Control Center (NCC) of the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).

The ceremony was under the patronage of the Ministry of Digital Economy & Entrepreneurship, H.E Ahmad Hanandeh, the AI Director Lama Arabiat, and the Chief Representative of JICA Jordan Office, SUZUKI Takahiro. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy, H.E Saleh AlKharabsheh, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Amani Alazzam, the Director General of the National Electric Power Company, Amjad Al-Rawashdeh, the Commissioner acting as the Secretary General of the EMRC هيئة تنظيم قطاع الطاقة والمعادن-EMRC, Wafaa Al-Bakheet, and a number of consulting experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

We start this transformative journey toward shaping a smarter, more sustainable energy landscape in Jordan and beyond. Together, let’s embrace the power of AI to drive positive change and create a brighter tomorrow!
